It can take close to a hundred years for a tree to grow to the size required for turned wooden products.

That’s why, rather than harvesting hardwood, I seek out timber that has already reached the end of its life. Trees that have naturally died off or been destroyed by fire, wood that has been removed for land development or clearing, and quality wood or object discarded by society have all been sources of material and inspiration for my projects.

The age and decay of this discarded material often hide beautiful heartwood, exquisite grain patterns, and unique texture waiting to be revealed through turning.

Every piece of wood has a personality that comes to life after the years of weather and age are peeled away; whether in the cracks that form as the wood dries, the intricate patterns of insect burrows, or the beautiful colors that result from spalting.

This gives a character and beauty to each piece that cannot be recreated ever again, yours to enjoy for years to come.

There is always something beautiful inside waiting to be revealed, and I take great pride in highlighting this beauty in each of my pieces.

It is my privilege to make that beauty available to each of my customers with quality products that are worth holding onto.
